Rickard Patrick Callen, 53, of Zelienople died Sunday at his home.

Born May 7, 1955, in New Brighton, he was the son of Donald R. and Nancy Patrick Callen.

He was a graduate of Knoch High School, and he also attended Tarkio College in Missouri.

He worked as a mortgage broker at various mortgage firms.

He was a member of the Nixon United Methodist Church, Butler.

He was involved in various theater groups and the American Legion and the Hungarian Club, both in Zelienople. He enjoyed reading, golfing, playing pool and blogging.

Surviving are his parents of Butler; his sister, Janine B. Callen of Butler; and a host of other relatives and friends.
