Margaret Mary Murrin
Margaret Mary Murrin, 89, of Butler passed away Sunday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Butler, Oct. 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary M. Sheedy Brennan.
She was a graduate of the Butler High School Class of 1937.
She was a homemaker. She was formerly employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and she also was a secretary for Attorney Donald Doerr.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister. She also served on the parish council. She was a member of the altar society; and she belonged to the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers. She also delivered Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by one son, James Murrin of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary Ellen) Blum of Cranberry Township and Mrs. Steven (Elizabeth) Konstantinidis of Troy, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Tony Halstead of Texas, Elizabeth Oxendine of Indiana, Erin Murrin of Georgia, Katie Blum of Illinois, Benjamin Blum of Colorado, Kelly Blum of Pennsylvania, Matthew Leasure of Ohio, Brent Leasure of Ohio, Jason Konstantinidis of Ohio, and Jennifer Konstantinidis of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Murrin Sr., who passed away in 1972; and one son, Richard C. Murrin. Jr., who passed away in 1989.
<B>MURRIN</B> — Friends of Margaret Mary Murrin, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Thursday the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
