Dolores R. Halm
Dolores R. Halm, 83, of Herman died Monday at her home.
Born June 26, 1925, in Herman, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adela Dittmer Reott.
Dolores worked as an aide at the Growth and Development Center in Deshon and at the Community Care Center in Mount Chestnut. She also provided private child care out of her home until her retirement in 2007. As a young lady, she worked in the Dietary Department of the Butler Veteran's Affairs Medical Center. She was also a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
Dolores is survived by a daughter, Adel F. Knapp and her husband, Jeff Knapp, of Kittanning; a son and his wife, Donald R. and Sherry Halm of Butler; two grandchildren, Ashley R. and Donovan M. Halm of Butler; two step-grandchildren, Mike Knapp of Kittanning, and Jason Knapp of Ocean City, Md.; five sisters, Evelyn "Sue" Kramer of Fenelton, Betrice "Bebe" Reott of Herman, Mrs. Dian Rodgers of Butler, Mrs. Gloria Thompson of Erie, and Mrs. Julie Donaldson of Saxonburg; two brothers and their wives, Bob and Mildred Reott of Michigan, and Don and Kay Reott of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
<B>HALM</B> — Friends of Dolores R. Halm, who died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Herman.
