Lillian R. Koerner
Lillian R. Koerner, 99, formerly of Meridian, died Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
She was born April 19, 1909, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John T. and Alice Millett O'Day.
Lillian retired in 1977 from the Butler County Domestic Relations office. She formerly worked as the law librarian at the Butler County Courthouse. She also was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian and was a member and past president of the Butler Lions Club Auxiliary.
Lil's husband, Joseph A. Koerner, whom she married Aug. 30, 1941, preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1966.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph T. "Ted" Koerner and his wife, Carol, of Meridian, and James B. Koerner of Warren, Pa.; a daughter, Cynthia Reichenbacher and her fiance, Gary Holmes, of East Brady; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Brenda Koerner, Debby and Dave Fleischman, Jim Koerner, Jennifer Reichenbacher, Jolene and Chris Melton, Kim and Donnie Utterback and Joe Reichenbacher; eight great-grandchildren, Shelby, Troy, Jacob T., Jacob W., Katey, Lucha, Mason and Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her special sister-in-law, Marie Koerner Veden of Moon Township, also survives her.
A sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
<B>KOERNER </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Lillian R. Koerner, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
