Janice E. Kopnisky

Janice Elaine Kopnisky, 72, of Grove City passed away at 7:10 p.m. Friday in the Grove Manor Nursing Home, Grove City.

She was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Pittsburgh, to the late Lou and Lillian Foreman.

Jan was united in marriage to Joseph Kopnisky Dec. 10, 1954, and they spent the next 55 happy years of their lives together. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Jan had a long, wonderful career as the manager of College View Towers as well as other businesses.

She volunteered for numerous committees and was involved in many aspects of the community. Jan was a giver who always put others first. She was an avid lover of horses and the equestrian community.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, at home; and her loving children, Jack Kopnisky and his wife, Kathy Wood Kopnisky, of Boston, Mass., and Jill Clark Kopnisky and her husband, Timothy Clark, of Naperville, Ill. She loved her grandchildren more than anyone could imagine: Joseph Kopnisky, Dane Kopnisky and Maggie Kopnisky, all of Boston, Mass., and Christopher Clark, Amanda Clark and Tiffany Clark, all of Naperville. She enjoyed her sister, Betty Mihlfried and her husband, Pat, of Atlanta, Ga., and brother, Jim Foreman and his wife, Susan, of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

<B>KOPNISKY </B>— An open house in memory of Janice Elaine Kopnisky, who died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at the Kopnisky home at 1175 E. Pine St. Ext., Grove City.The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Jan's memory can be made to Slippery Rock University, Storm Harbor Equestrian Center, One Morrow Way, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home,</B> Grove City.
