The Slippery Rock swimming team had nine female qualifiers and eight male qualifiers for the District 10 championship meet, which is being held next weekend at Penn State-Behrend in Erie.

The girls are Katelyn Brozenic (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Sarah Downing (200 medley relay), Cory Kirk (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Emma Knox (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Katie Kosiorek (100 free, 100 back, 200 free relay and 400 free relay), Nicole Moraitis (200 IM, 100 fly, 200 free relay, 400 free relay), Hannah Parson (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Chloe Pizor (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays) and Kristen Thompson (200 medley relay, 200 free relay).

The boys qualifiers are Chuck Davies (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Jake Johnston (50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay), Kyle Hawk (200 IM, 100 back, plus two relays); Jesse Laughner (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), BrandonMarshall (200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays), Andrew Opalewski (50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay), Tim Regrut (200 medley relay, 200 free relay) and James Udischas (100 breast, 200 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay).

Kelsey Reott, Caleb Sykora-Bodie and Ken Tibbens also had qualified but season-ending injuries will prevent them from competing next week.

Evan Gorse had two goals and an assist as Knoch blanked Richland 6-0.Shayne Hennessy added a goal and an assist while R.J. Hughes, Nick Transue and Brett Campisi also scored. Neal Donnelly and Eric Egler added two assists each while goalie Ryan Naples earned the shutout.Knoch will host Sewickley Academy at 9 p.m. Monday.<B>Ford City 10, Holidaysburg 1 — </B>Butler seniors R.C. Double (three goals) and Tanner Master (two goals, one assist) led the charge for the Sabers (19-1) in their regular-season finale.Fellow Butler student, goalie Justin O'Donnell, won his 18th game of the season.Ford City takes on Greensburg Salem (7-13) at 7 p.m. Sunday in the WPIHL playoffs.
