West Forest's balanced scoring attack was too much for the Moniteau girls basketball team, which dropped a 51-25 decision to the Indians in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference championship game Saturday at Clarion High School.

While West Forest featured four players in double figures in points, only Maura McCaslin reached it for the Warriors (17-6) with 12 points.

West Forest tallied 32 free throw attempts and Moniteau just four.

Moniteau will now prepare for the District 9 Class AA playoffs.

WPIAL playoffs — Five Butler County teams will continue their WPIAL playoff runs this week.Butler's girls face Gateway in Class AAAA play at 7 p.m. Tudesday at Plum High School. Seneca Valley's boys meet Upper St. Clair in Quad-Aat a site and time to be determined later this week.Mars will play a Class AAAdoubleheader Tuesday night at North Allegheny. The girls face Ambridge at 6:30 p.m. while the boys meet unbeaten Chartiers Valley at 8 p.m.Knoch's girls will play West Mifflin in Class AAA at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gateway.
