Homer K. Browne Sr.
Homer Kenneth Browne Sr., 87, of the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, died at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday at the center.
Born June 14, 1921, in Glen Richey, Clearfield County, he was the son of the late Harvey W. Browne and the late Verda B. Rowles Browne.
Mr. Browne retired as a clerk for the Butler Post Office.
He was a member of the Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church.
Mr. Browne was a graduate of Butler High School and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a private in the 1st Tank Battalion.
He was a member of the Butler County Horseshoe League and the W.P.N.H.O., the Thursday Night Bowling League and the Father Marinaro Park Bocce players. He had an interest in gardening and horseshoes.
Mr. Browne is survived by his sons, David L. Browne and his wife, Barbara, and Jeffrey J. Browne and his wife, Lori; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Browne and Richard Browne; one sister, Sarah Bush; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Browne was preceded in death by his wife, L. June Browne, whom he married July 12, 1941. She passed away Oct. 15, 1991. Also preceding him in death were one son, H. Kenneth Browne Jr.; one daughter, S. Colleen Spohn; and one brother, Carl Browne.

North St. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. with Patricia Sawaya, chaplain at Trinity Living Center, officiating.
