Eleanor B. Wisda
Eleanor B. Wisda, 88, formerly of 348 W. Third St., Wilburton, entered into eternal rest Thursday surrounded by her family.
Born Oct. 8, 1920, in Wilburton, she was the daughter of Michael and Stephanie (Vovock) Zinda.
She was a lifelong resident of Wilburton until 2001, when she moved to Camp Hill to live with her daughter. In 2007 she became a resident at The Bridges at Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg.
She attended Our Mother of Consolation Grade School and was a member of the Divine Redeemer Church, formerly St. John the Baptist Church; the Wilburton Senior Action Center; the Mechanicsburg Senior Action Center, and St. Joseph's Leisure Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Semick and her husband, Leonard, of Camp Hill; a son, Paul M. Wisda and his wife, Peggy, of Cabot; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Cecelia Homcheck of Camp Hill; a brother, Joseph Zinda of Mount Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was married on Sept. 19, 1942, to Paul A. Wisda, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1986.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, Stanley, Anthony and Frank; and seven sisters, Edna, Mary, Anna, Stella, Michaeline, Verna and Elizabeth.
<B>WISDA</B>— Funeral Mass for Elanor B. Wisda, who died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Ave., Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Robert Yohe officiating.Viewing will be from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 10 a.m. in the <B>C.J. Lucas Funeral Home</B>, 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel.
