The Butler County Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Elisabeth Heath Charles, will present a Valentine's Day concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the auditorium of Butler Intermediate High School, 551 Fairground Hill Road. In accord with the symphony's 60th anniversary "Diamond Jubilee" theme, the concert called "Romantic Gems" will celebrate famous lovers. <B>Music in a Great Space</B>, the concert series at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, presents organist J. Christopher Pardini performing selected works of Felix Mendelssohn at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, 5121 Westminster Place. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the 1809 birth of the Romantic period composer. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens 60 and older; students and children are admitted free. <B>The second annual Oil Country Bluegrass Festival</B> is planned for Feb. 13, 14 and 15 at The Arlington Hotel in Oil City. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Venango County and the Oil City Arts Council. All bluegrass bands that take part will be donating their time to benefit the sponsoring entities.
