CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Historical Society will host a program on the life of George Westinghouse at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Cranberry Township Municipal Building council chambers, 2525 Rochester Road.
Ed Reis, a Westinghouse historian, will perform living history, dressed in periodic garb to portray Westinghouse, an inventor, American entrepreneur and engineer.

Butler County Community College will present An Evening of Short Plays by Don Orwald at 8 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Succop Theater on campus.The short plays include "Hungarian Rhapsody: An Electroglide in Blue," a prize winning script from the 76th Annual Writer's Digest competition; "Armageddon Forgiven," an honorable mention winner in the 77th Annual Writer's Digest competition and "The Spirit of '76 2004."The performance is dedicated to the memory of Mary Jo Mohn Covert, Orwald's long-time friend and local theater patron and supporter.A Butler native, Orwald taught English and theater for 31 years at Knoch High School. He is a graduate of Slippery Rock University and Indiana (Pa.) University.He was active as an actor and director in the Butler Little Theatre and Musical Theatre Guild. CRANBERRY TWP — Youths 10 to 14 will complete in the Ultimate Wii Sports contest on Saturday in the council chambers of the Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.The event will kick off at 7 p.m. on the big screen.Fee is $5 for Cranberry residents and $7 for nonresidents.Prizes will be awarded in the home video game system contest.Champions will be crowned in each of the five sports: tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing.
