Eric, I read your last post and just shook my head and said WHAT? How preposturous! I don't know how it is done in Florida but around here when you break the law you should anty up. That includes getting your Name in the Eagle. I for one am Glad his name was in. Everyone else who breaks the law gets the same treatment. Why should he be any different? Drinking and driving is a crime people. Get it? People die horriblby because others drink and drive. It is irresponsible behavior and it deserves punishment and public humiliation. Don't like it? Stop breaking the law then.There was a letter in the eagle last week by a 26 year old who got a DUI and lost his gun priveledge because of it. He called it excessive punishment, Well boo hoo hoo!! Poor baby!! Grow up and be responsible and then you won't have your toys taken way from you. I don't feel like getting killed or having my loved ones killed because some moron decided to drink and drive whether he was working for the city or not!! That is irrelevant. Your post was completely retarded and completely outragious.It is an insult to all of us who obey the laws of the land and live responsible lives. How dare you expect or demand special treatment for this individual.I know too many people who's lives were changed forever because some idiot had to much to drink. I take exception to how you underplay the significance of a DUI. So my advice to the man you are speaking of and the other person who posted in the Eagle editorials is grow up and do it right! Don't expect society to reward you for breaking the law. If you don't like the punishment Stop breaking the law! It is just that easy,exercise common sense instead of stupidity.
