BUTLER TWP — Butler County is a step closer to a possible sale of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The county commissioners Wednesday are scheduled to vote on seeking proposals from parties interested in operating or buying the facility.

County Commissioner Dale Pinkerton, board chairman, said at today's commissioners' agenda meeting the county wants to see if there's a market for the nursing home.

He cited Sunnyview's annual operating loss being a financial drain on the county.

He said the county wanted Sunnyview to at least break even in coming years, but there has been resistance to changes that would cause that to occur.
