Marion E. Rowe

Marion E. Rowe, 81, of Saxonburg died Friday in Allegheny Valley Hospital in Harrison Township.

Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Russellton, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Harold and Mae (Woodworth) Rowe.

She was a 1945 graduate of West Deer High School and the Allegheny Valley School of Nursing.

She spent most of her nursing career at the Harper Medical Center in Detroit.

She returned to Pennsylvania to care for her parents, who proceeded her in death in 1993.

She also was preceded in death by her dear niece, Ruth Ann Macurdy in 1980.

She loved spending time with her family and cousins, traveling to visit her many friends and playing bingo with her friend Nancy.

She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Bill Macurdy; a niece, Linda (David) Huth of Freeport; a nephew, David W. (Kimberly) Macurdy of The Woodlands, Texas; and several nieces and nephews, Jeremiah and Alyssa Huth, Natalie and Braden Macurdy, and Caitlyn Duncan.

<B>ROWE — </B>A memorial service for Marion Rowe, who died Dec. 26, 2008, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sarver, with the Rev.
