BUTLER TWP— Butler Township-Meridian Baseball will be holding its baseball and softball registration from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and at 8 p.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Church on Buttercup Road.

SLIPPERY ROCK— The Slippery Rock University athletic department will host its second annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day Feb. 7 at Morrow Field House.Registration is at 9 a.m. for girls ages 5 to 12. There is no admission charge and miniclinics will be held in basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball.The day concludes with the 1 p.m. women's basketball game between SRUand Mercyhurst.Call SRU women's lacrosse coach Emily Boosahda at 724-738-4423 for details.

JEFFERSON TWP— The inclement weather forced Knoch High to postpone former Pittsburgh Pirate Al Oliver's scheduled speech to students today.Oliver's presentation will be rescheduled.
