Anthony L. Caputo
Anthony L. Caputo, 83, of Butler, died Wednesday evening at Sunnyview Home.
Born in Butler on Nov. 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Picone Caputo.
Mr. Caputo was retired from the Stainless Processing Department at the Armco Butler Works, where he worked for 40 years.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in Europe under Gen. George Patton.
Mr. Caputo was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 249 and a life member of the Italian Society of Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Tonini Caputo, to whom he was married for 60 years; two sons, Frank A. Caputo of Butler and Dennis L. Caputo of Seattle, Washington; a daughter, Mrs. Dianne Rockenstein of Butler; a brother, Patsy Caputo of Butler; a sister, Jeanette Hanrahan of Staten Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.Military honors will be accorded by V.F.W.
