Joyce Carr Perell, 56, of Clayton, N.C., died Monday at WakeMed Hospital in North Carolina.

Born July 9, 1952, in Grove City, she was a daughter of Ernest and Dorothy Carr.

She married Thomas W. Perell Jr. on Dec. 14, 1973. He died March 5, 1990.

Survivors include a son, Michael Perell and his fiancee, Elizabeth Ingersoll of Clayton; a granddaughter, Chloe Perell and two step-grandchildren, Amber and Brianna Thornhill of Clayton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Linda Carr of Slippery Rock, Steve and Gale Carr of North Carolina, Bill and Amy Carr of New Castle and Dave and Carolyn Carr of Harrisville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and James Vannan of North Carolina, Gloria and Nick Natale of New Castle, Debbie and James Fusco of Edinburg and Sherry and Ron Vincent of New Wilmington; six nieces, four nephews and five great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Carr; and a great-aunt, Mary E. Palmer.

Joyce will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

<B>CARR </B>— There are no calling hours. A private family memorial and burial for Joyce Carr Perell, who died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, are planned for later at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
