READING FOR A CAUSE

Second and fifth grade students at Bruin Elementary in the Karns City School District read 100 books in the fall. In the Scholastic Book Clubs ClassroomsCare program, second grade students in Angie Fritch's class and fifth grade students in Dacey Mealey's class reached their goal. Under this nationwide program, Scholastic Book Clubs, will donate 1 million new books to disadvantaged children. The ClassroomsCare program is designed to teach students the value of reading and giving, according to a release by the school.
