L. Paul Bernardini
L. Paul Bernardini, 87, of Tarentum and Rosebrook Assisted Living in Buffalo Township died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Born Oct. 14, 1921, in Glassmere, he was the son of Dominic Bernardini and Aida (Petri) Bernardini.
He lived most of his life in Tarentum, and he retired in 1983 as a general turn foreman at Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge, after 43 years.
Mr. Bernardini was a 1940 graduate of Tarentum High School and served in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a member of the Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, and a charter member of the Tarentum VFW Post.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards, camping at Kennerdell and VFW bingos.
Surviving are five children, Paula L. (Larry J.) Malobicky of Brackenridge, Bonnie G. (Philip D.) Ekas of Saxonburg, Sue Ellen (Dennis) Johns of Natrona Heights, Guy Bernardini of Natrona Heights and Laura F. Bouchat of Tarentum; grandchildren, Melissa, Jill, Neil, Lance, Paul, John, Elizabeth, Jarrod and Nick; numerous great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bernardini of Conneaut, Ohio.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty F. (Rowe) Bernardini, who died Oct. 29, 2007; and a son, Jay B. Bernardini, who died Dec. 12, 2007.

Paul Bernardini, who died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Duster Funeral Home</B>, 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum, by the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss, his pastor.
