Ralph Andy Sedwick
Ralph Andy Sedwick, 88, of Kittanning died Saturday at his home.
He was born March 14, 1920, to the late William Teth and Dora Blanche (Byers) Sedwick.
Ralph was the owner of the Ashe Printing Co. in Ford City from 1954 until his retirement in 1996.
He was World War II Army veteran who served in the Pacific theater.
He was a lifelong supporter of the Ford City Lions Club and a member of the Ford City Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Ralph was one of the original founders of Lenape Heights Golf Course.
After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time watching the birds outside.
Survivors include two sons, David (Marlene) Sedwick of Tennessee and Randy (Theresa) Sedwick of Kittanning; two daughters, Kathy (Bill) Kiser of Tennessee and Wendy (Jeff) Pozzuto of Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Jeff Kiser of Florida, Karen Kiser of Tennessee, Lisa (John) Mangus of Indiana, Julie Sedwick of Indiana, Laurie (Kendal) McCann of Tennessee and Sydney Pozzuto, Phillip Pozzuto and Katy Pozzuto, all of Kentucky; two sisters, Lucille Wolfe of Kittanning and Pauline (Jim) White of Kittanning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vemberline (Garing) Sedwick, who died Aug. 9, 2007; two brothers, W. Dixon Sedwick and Howard Sedwick; and three sisters, Mary Ashe, Dora Langham and Dorothy McKain.
<B>SEDWICK</B> — Friends and relatives of Ralph Andy Sedwick, who died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, may express their sympathy to the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>MANTINI FUNERAL HOME</B>, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Ford City Lions Club.
