Obama launches grassroots campaign
WASHINGTON — Barack Obama today said he will keep up his massive grassroots campaign and use it to install community organizers around the country.
He says his Organizing for America program will work to support his agenda in Washington. Aides say it will be a parallel organization to the Democratic National Committee and an independent force to lobby for Obama's goals.
The program has some 13 million e-mail addresses and is a re-election campaign-in-waiting for Obama.
