CHICORA — The United Athletic Association of Karns City will hold a baseball meeting at 8 p.m. today at the Chicora Fire Hall.

All interested coaches and parents should attend.

WEXFORD— Oxford Athletic Club is offering educational seminars to help athletes compete at a higher level.The seminars are geared toward casual and competitive runners, walkers, cyclists and triathletes.Seminars run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 20. BUTLER TWP— The Butler Girls Basketball Parents Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the teachers lounge of the high school cafeteria.

The Butler Basketball Boosters meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Elks.

BUTLER TWP— The Butler Boys Basketball Parents Club is sponsoring ANight with Elvis at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.Elvis impersonator Randy Galioto will perform a two-hour show. Tickets are $15 and are available the night of the show. All proceeds benefit the Butler boys basketball program.

SAXONBURG— The Saxonburg Area Girls Softball Association will have 2009 spring sign-ups from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday and Jan. 24, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday and Jan. 25 at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building on Great Belt Road.Girls ages 5 to 18 are eligible. Make-up registrations will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 26.

CRANBERRY TWP— Registration for players, volunteers, coaches, umpires and "buddies" has begun for the Miracle League of Southwestern Pennsylvania's first season of baseball.The Miracle League is an organization dedicated to providing children with special needs the opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league.'Registration is open to any special needs child between 5 and 18. Play begins in May at Graham Park in Cranberry Township. Registration fee is $35, but a scholarship fund is available for anyone who does not have the resources to pay this fee.Walk-up registration will be at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 24.Contact Joe Argyros at argyros@zbzoom.net for details.
