I spent 7 hours on one letter before. I don't expect everyone will be so attentive, but I do think one owes a certain level of professionalism when trying to contribute to a large, public forum.
Things like name-calling, LOLs and not knowing the difference between insults and "constructive criticism" have no place in a serious, adult conversation, of course, that's my own opinion.
