Jennings Environmental Education Center will conduct a prairie improvement day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 17 at the park. Participants must be age 12 or older and register for the program by Friday by calling the 724-794-6011. A winter mountain adventure is planned for Jan. 23 to 25. Call for details on the adventure to Laurel Ridge, Ohiopyle State Park and Seven Springs Resort for assorted activities. Jennings is regularly open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.

<B>Oil Creek State Park</B> will be the site of a moonlit ski program starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at the cross-country ski-warming hut. The program will last a couple of hours. The terrain is relatively flat. Participants are to take skis. The program is free.
