You are right. Yesterday on 60 minutes they did a segment about a little girl killed by a drunk driver. This guy was 22 years old, legally drank and killed 2 people. He was convicted of MURDER. Not involuntary manslaughter, like most DUIs get, which is basically nothing more than a slap on the wrist. He was convicted of murder and got 15 years to life in prison.

Every time I turn on DVE, they are giving away beer, they have contests and if you are one of the first in line, you get a case of beer and they talk about it constantly, like it is something that everyone in their right mind should crave. It is disgusting! I can't even listen to that station any more.

If drugs were legal, the rug would be pulled out from under the gangs - and the gang violence. Plus we would receive additional revenue on sales taxes. If you put the control on the LCB, they could regulate it.

Users would eventually kill themselves, but why is that different than smoking or drinking?

If the right wingers think abstenance teaching will keep moral young people from having sex, why don't the think the same teaching will keep the same moral young people from drugs. Unless, deep down, they know they are full of crap and are just paying lip service.
