Jean Paton DiMatteo
Jean Paton DiMatteo, 89, of Butler died at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 13, 1919, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lloyd Paton and Arline VanCuren Paton Clayman.
Mrs. DiMatteo was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
She was the attendance secretary at Butler High School for 35 years, and she retired in 1985.
She was associated with the American Field Service; the Butler County Educational Secretaries Association; the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Butler County Chapter; the Armco Ladies Golf League; the Lake Arthur Ladies Golf League; the Armco Ladies Bowling League; the Butler Hospital Auxiliary; the St. Paul Catholic Church greeters; and various local bridge clubs.
She lived life to the fullest and had many adventures while traveling and spending time with her family.
Mrs. DiMatteo is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Linda Keddie and her husband, David, of North East, Mrs. Martha Kummer and her husband, Russell, of Butler and Mrs. Patricia Double and her husband, Thomas, of Dunn, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Mrs. Theda Young of Bradford; one niece; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. DiMatteo, who died March 6, 1992; and by her sister, Joan Webster.

North St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. Thursday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Auxiliary of Butler Memorial Hospital, 911 E.
