My family and I had just come from the movies at Regal Cinemas. We stopped in at Giant Eagle for a few items. There was an elderly man, employee of Giant Eagle doing his job. He was pushing in carts to the store. I felt sorry for him at first, I thought, why aren't you retired and enjoying your life? I don't know his circumstances, but it would only be a guess. Then, I thought, why don't someone younger do this job? For whatever reason, I just watched him. He made several trips gathering all the carts and orderly placing them in line and returning them back to the store. He spoke to all the shoppers exiting the store, and seemed content. The reason for my post is to thank Giant Eagle for hiring this elderly worker! I'll bet he could work rings around some others. He was pleasant to everyone he came in contact with. Smiling and being courteous to all! I just want to thank him for making a difference to my kids and me by always showing good citizenship skills. My kids noticed him first and was concerned about him! I wish him the best in 2009! PS: Thank you for making a difference without even knowing it!
