Daniel J. Baptiste, 36, of Karns City died at 4:35 a.m. Nov. 28 in Sugar Creek Rest following an illness.

Born in Butler on Sept. 4, 1972, he was the son of Ray and Marylee Lucas Baptiste.

A 1991 graduate of Karns City High School, he was a security guard at Indspec in Petrolia for five years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Baptiste is survived by his parents of Karns City; a sister, Lori Jordan of Chicora; a niece, Jade Jordan of Chicora, and his maternal grandmother, Stella Lucas of Butler.
