P. Irene Powell

P. Irene Powell, 82, a resident of Grove Manor in Grove City for the past four months, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at the manor.

Born in Forestville, April 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Derwood Bell and the late Linnie J. Hockenberry Bell.

She was a 1945 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Powell was a Protestant.

Surviving are a daughter, Melody J. Brown and her husband, Howard E., of Grove City; a son, Henry T. Powell of Harrisville; a grandson, Leland I. Brown; seven sisters, Helen Wigton of Slippery Rock, Grace Louise Dillaman of Butler, Virginia Mae Stockwell of Grove City, Irene's twin Arlene Bell of Grove city, Isabell Grossman and her husband, Humes, of Harrisville, Ruth Relfe of Deland, Fla., and Donna Kelly and her husband, Frank, of Emlenton; and two brothers, Bill Bell of Grove City and Ronald Bell and his wife, Lorraine, of Youngsville.

<B>POWELL</B> — Friends of P. Irene Powell, who died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St.,Harrisville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lester P. Thornton, chaplain of Grove Manor, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
