Howard W. "Mike" Brannon, 86, of Cranberry Township died Wednesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 14, 1922, in Glennville, W.Va., he was the son of the late Hadley and Isa Brannon Parker and Hunter Wilson Brannon.

Mr. Brannon was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, who served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired as a service representative from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

Mr. Brannon was a member of the Perry-Ionic Lodge 796 F&AM and a former member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, where he had been a past master. He was also a member of the Syria Shrine Temple, the Valley of New Castle Consistory and a life member of the Joshua Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. In addition, he was a member of the Council of Anointed Kings, the Islam Grotto, Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor, the Knights of York Cross of Honour and the Delta Royal Arch Chapter 170.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine F. Brannon; two daughters, Sandra and husband Frank Fahy of Connecticut, and Linda and husband Gary Davis of South Carolina; a son, Michael and wife Paula Brannon of Ohio; two sisters, Patricia and husband Bill Thorson of Florida and Nancy and husband Jim White of Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Kayoko Parker of Hawaii. He also is survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, John R. Kelly; four sisters and a brother.

<B>BRANNON</B> — Friends of Howard W. "Mike" Brannon, who died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>GLENN-KILDOO FUNERALHOME, INC.</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
