The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has provided this report on the Dec. 15 New Wilmington livestock auction.

CATTLE 186 — (Compared with last week's sale, slaughter cows sold steady to 2. higher.)

Steers — Choice 1-3, 1200-1525 lbs., 79.25-82.50; select 1-2, 1100-1450 lbs., 75.-80.; standard 1-2, 1150-1450 lbs., 72.-75.

Heifers — Choice 1-3, 1250-1400 lbs., 78.50-81.; select 1-2, few, 1050-1300 lbs., 77.50-78.; standard 1-2, few, 1000-1100 lbs., 69.50-70.

Cows — Breakers 75-80 percent lean, 43.-48.50, one 50.; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 38.-42.50; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 32.-39. Shells 30. and down.

Bulls — Yield grade 1, 1040-1800 lbs., 52.50-53.50; yield grade 2, few, 1055-1505 lbs., 41.-49.

Feeder cattle — Steers — Medium 2, one, 470 lbs., 54.; medium and large 3, few, 700-970 lbs., 39.-47. Heifers — Large 1, 545-675 lbs., few, 63.50-65.; medium 2, 300-500 lbs., 47.-65.; 500-700 lbs., 47. Bulls — Medium and large 3. few. 415-600 lbs., 46.50.

CALVES 114

Vealers — Standard and good, 70-110 lbs., 10.-20.; utility, 50-80 lbs., 2.-7.50.
