Jennings Environmental Education Center will host a Winter Mountain Adventure from Jan. 23 to 25. Call 724-794-6011 to confirm programs and for details on the adventure to Laurel Ridge, Ohiopyle State Park and Seven Springs Resort for assorted activities. Jennings is regularly open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and as scheduled on weekends. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.
<B>Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center</B> in Ford City will host a Star Party at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the longest night of the year. Weather permitting, participants will use telescopes and binoculars to observe some of the major stars, constellations and other heavenly phenomena visible this time of year. Some telescopes and binoculars will be available for use, or guests can take their own. Dress for the weather. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
