Pearl O. Herold Daufen
Pearl O. Herold Daufen, 88, of Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony, formerly of Fombell, died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 1, 1920, in Center Township, she was the daughter of Edward Herold and Hazel Youkers Herold.
Pearl graduated from Butler High School in the Class of 1940. She was first employed at the Wolf Brush Co., then Gray Brothers Poultry, and finally Zelie Country Kitchen. She farmed and gardened all of her life and enjoyed her family very much.
She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Ralph (and Linda) Daufen of Fombell, Harry Daufen of Hardyville, Carl (and Joanne) Daufen Jr. of Epsom, N.H., and Carol (and Glenn) Hinkle of Ellwood City. Eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers and three sisters, Lawrence "Sonny," Joe, and Walter Herold, Ruth Werner, Veva McConnell, and Hazel Jane Webb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lewis E. Daufen; a brother, Clarence Herold; and two sisters, Cora Herold and Edna Kelly.

Herold Daufen, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the <B>TURNER FUNERAL HOME</B> of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.
