Lifesteps and Seubert and Associates announced that its second annual Star Gala, held Nov. 15 at the Atrium in Prospect, estimated a net revenue of more than $41,000.
The event took its guests back to the '80s with live music from Dancing Queen.
Event sponsors were NexTier Bank, Covidien, Butler Health System and Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania.
Event highlights included KDKA radio's Shelley Duffy and Larry Richert, a grazing social hosted by Medure's Catering, beverages, a silent auction, raffles, activities and a complimentary photograph.
Proceeds from the event benefited Lifesteps' Family Caring Fund, which supports programs and services such as free developmental Child Check screenings and a medically-monitored day program for aging adults.
This year's gala also featured the presentation of a posthumous Star Award, honoring the late John Chiprean Sr., a past board member and dedicated volunteer to the agency. Accepting the award on Chiprean's behalf was his widow, Carol Chiprean Keller, and children.
