To clarify my position for Nancy: I am chiefly concerned with the use of taxpayer funds to teach "abstinence-only" education because it has not been successful and is often coupled with falsehoods regarding condoms and birth control pills. Taxpayers should not be forced to support the deliberate mis-education of children. I agree with Lee from Pennsylvania who writes that there isn't an easy solution, but I think that the current approach is worse than doing nothing--as the vivid concrete examples provided by Cass from Butler illustrate.
