Jennings Environmental Education Center will host a program on the colorful history and folklore behind Pennsylvania's evergreens in "Tree Traditions" at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jennings, Route 528 near the intersection of Routes 8 and 173. A winter mountain adventure is planned for Jan. 23 to 25. Call 724-794-6011 to confirm programs and for details on the adventure to Laurel Ridge, Ohiopyle State Park and Seven Springs Resort for assorted activities. Jennings is regularly open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and as scheduled on weekends. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.
