Kristen and Christian Kindya

Kristen Flinner and Christian Kindya were united in marriage Sept. 6 at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Steven Neff officiated. A reception followed at Shakespeare's Restaurant and Pub in Ellwood City.

The bride is the daughter of DuWayne and Joyce Flinner of Prospect. Parents of the bridegroom are Richard and Diane Kindya of South Fork.

The honor attendant was Angela Busi of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Jessica Godinich of Ellwood City and Christa Lynn of Pittsburgh.

Performing the duties of best man was Gregory Shustrick of Johnstown. Ushers included Chad Kindya of South Fork and Mark Rimer of McKees Rocks.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2004 graduate of Duquesne University. She plans to receive her master's degree in 2009 from the University of Pittsburgh. She works for the University of Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Bishop McCort High School and in 2004 from Duquesne University. He works for Fisher Scientific in Robinson Township.

Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple are making their home in McDonald.
