Those AIG people should be in jail! and Henry Paulson right behind them!

I don't have a problem with the government LOANING those companies money, but just handouts are ridiculous. Chrysler got a loan and turned themselves around within 3 years, so past history shows it can work. But no free handouts.

GM has come out with the volt, which looks great, but who could afford it? It is projected to cost $44,000. Compare that to a little Cobalt for about $12,000 - where is the savings? Even at $5/gallon, it will take quite a long time to spend $32,000 in gas!

I think Obama has the right idea. Instead of giving everyone $600 - another Bush administration screw up, use the money to build a bridge. Put people to work, collect income taxes from them and get a new bridge. I don't know what I did with that $600, and I'll bet nobody else remembers what they did with it either. How much did that cost the taxpayers? Stupidity.

January 21 can't come soon enough for me..
