William A. Seebacher

William A. "Bill" Seebacher, 80, of Valencia died Thursday morning at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, May 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Paul and Ida Steibel Seebacher.

He was the owner of the Saul J. Rubin Barrel and Drum Co. in Valencia.

An active Mason, he was a member of the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM, the Consistory, the NACO Caravan and the Syria Shrine, where he was an ambassador emeritus. He had been a Shrine clown and was in the Legion of Honor.

A corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II, he served in the 2nd Armor Division. He was a lifetime member of the West View VFW and also was active with the Mars VFW.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret A. "Margie" Lache Seebacher, who he married June 9, 1951; a son, William C. Seebacher and his wife, Esther, of Slippery Rock; and three daughters, Sally Holmes and her husband, James, of Middlesex Township, Tammy Braun and her husband, David, of Hughesville and Peggy Evans and her husband, L. Dean, of Slippery Rock. He was the grandfather of William C. Jr, and Diane Bundy and her husband, Jared, and Kelly and Casey Braun.

He was preceded in death by his 12 brothers and sisters.

<B>SEEBACHER</B> — Friends of William A. "Bill" Seebacher, who died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Morledge officiating. Burial will be in the Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Memorials are requested to the Erie Shriner's Hospital, 1645 W.
