Michael F. Procz
Michael F. Procz, 84, formerly of Steelton Avenue, died Sunday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 19, 1923, in East Pittsburgh, a son of the late Stephen and Agnes Zahorchak Procz.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mike worked as a plant security guard and as a safety and fire inspector for U.S. Steel. He worked for a total of 38 years and spent the last 22 years of his service at the U.S. Steel Saxonburg Plant.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
Michael's wife, Carry M. Dumi Procz, who he married June 1, 1946, preceded him in death June 19, 2004. His sister, Anna Pedley, also preceded him in 1988.
Surviving are his son, James M. Procz and his wife, Diane L. Procz, of Karns City; his daughter and her husband, Darlene P. and Robert L. Klar III of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, James M. Procz Jr. of Clarion and Catherine E. Procz of Karns City; and two brothers, Frank Procz of Pahor, Hawaii and William Procz of South Hampton, Pa. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
<B>PROCZ </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Michael F. Procz, who died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora with Abbot Leo M. Schlosser, pastor, officiating.
