The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture provided this report on the Nov. 10 New Wilmington livestock auction.

CATTLE 238 — (Compared with last week's sale, slaughter steers sold 2.50 higher; slaughter cows, breakers 5. lower; boners sold 2.-4. lower)

Steers — High choice and prime 2-3, one, 1205 lbs., 89.; choice 1-3, 1250-1500 lbs., 85.-87.50; select 1-2, 1220-1545 lbs., 79.-85.; standard 1-2, few, 1200-1400 lbs., 71.-79.

Heifers — Choice 1-3, 1030-1350 lbs., 83.-88.; select 1-2,1125-1485 lbs., 79.-83.; standard 1-2, few, 1100-1280 lbs., 70.-76.50.

Cows — Breakers, 75-80 percent lean, 46.-52.; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 42.-47.50; lean 85-90 percent lean, 37.-43. Shells 36. and down.

Bulls — Yield grade 1, 1235-2365 lbs., 54.50-56.50, one at 65.; yield grade 2, few, 1035-1410 lbs., 44.-53.

Feeder cattle — Steers — Two, large 3, 550 lbs., 50.; medium and large 3, 570-765 lbs., 35.-45. Heifers — Two, medium 2, 310 lbs., 68.; Bulls — One, medium 1, 465 lbs., 83.

Vealers — One, choice, 270 lbs., 105.; one, good, 250 lbs., 87.50; standard and good, 70-120 lbs., 10.-30.; utility 50-80 lbs., 5.-12.50.
