George A. Yerger
George A. Yerger, 84, of Cranberry Township died Friday morning in UPMC-Passavant.
Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 2, 1923, he was the son of the late William E. and Margaret M. Barker Yerger.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mars.
He was a truck driver working for T. E. Hohmann, now T. J. Hoppers of Bakerstown, for more than 25 years.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Linda) Cole of Fombell and Harry (Paula) Cole of Connoquenessing; a daughter, Mrs. Carole Richard of Cranberry Township; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Brandstetter of South Carolina and Mrs. Helen McKean of New York; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. McCready Cole Yerger, who died on July 21, 1997, a brother, W. Earl Yerger and a son-in-law, James Richard.
