Blair C. Hollobaugh
Blair C. Hollobaugh, of South Pymatuning Township, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Thursday in the Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. He was 74.
Mr. Hollobaugh was born Oct. 10, 1933, to James and Gladys Young Hollobaugh in Cowansville.
He attended the East Brady High School.
Blair was a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1950 to 1955 in the Korean Conflict.
He married his wife of 53 years, the former Shirley M. Wetzel, Jan. 18, 1956, in Maryland. She survives at home.
Mr. Hollobaugh worked as a burner for 32 years at Sharon Steel, retiring in 1992. He previously worked at National Castings in Sharon.
He was a member of the Evangelical Church of God in Transfer.
Blair was a member of a country band for 28 years and was a country gospel singer. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John L. Hollobaugh of Greenville and Gerald L. Hollobaugh of Transfer; two half sisters, Shirley M. Brongton and Pat Hazlett; three half brothers, William Hiles, James Hollobaugh and Robert Hollobaugh; a granddaughter; five grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randall B. Hollobaugh on July 14, 2005; a brother, Delmer Hollobaugh; and three half brothers.

Hollobaugh, of South Pymatuning Township, who died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, are from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Stevenson-Webb Funeral Home</B>, 1142 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lois Lane and the Rev. Sam Napodano, pastors at the Evangelical Church of God of Transfer, co-officiating.
