Caterina Lapa DiMichele, 94, of Ark Twin Valley Nursing Home in Delmont, formerly of Slippery Rock and Grove City, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday at HealthSouth, Monroeville, after a brief illness.

Born in Calabria, Italy, June 25, 1914, she was the daughter of Domenico Lapa and Francesca Spano.

She married Angelo DiMichele March 15, 1947. He died Oct. 16, 2001.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, six step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. Caterina was one of 14 brothers and sisters and a few brothers still survive in Italy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; a stepson, Lee DiMichele; and a stepdaughter, Josephine Spano.

<B>DiMICHELE</B> — Visitation for Caterina Lapa DiMichele, who died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with Father Mark Hoffman as celebrant. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
