KARNS CITY — Quarterback Tyler Armagost is healthy. So is Moniteau's offense.

The Warriors scored touchdowns on their first four possessions, rolled up 418 yards of offense in the first half and dismantled Brookville 55-7 in a District 9 Class AAfootball semifinal Friday night at Karns City.

Moniteau (10-1) had a 42-7 lead at halftime — the same score it defeated Brookville (5-6) by four weeks ago.

"They only needed 24 minutes to put up 42 (points) on us tonight,"Brookville coach Chris Dworek said. "That was an impressive performance.

"We knew how talented they were, so we wanted to come out here swinging. But they swung back and we couldn't stay with them punch for punch. Not even close."

Armagost, who wasn't cleared to play until Wednesday night after taking a hit in the lower back last week against Riverside, threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for a score as well.

James Shope, who was to replace Armagost behind center, had 10 carries for 230 yards and three touchdowns.

"I was going to do whatever I could to get on the field tonight,"Armagost said. "We saw different doctors, getting second opinions. One doctor finally determined that my hip was out of place.

"He popped it back in and I felt fine. After a while, the swelling went down and I was good to go."

Warriors coach Jeff Campbell said Armagost returned to practice Thursday and looked fine.

"He was moving around well, threw the ball OK and wasn't in any pain,"Campbell said. "He's one of the guys who got us here and if he was healthy enough, he was going to play."

Moniteau wound up with 545 yards of offense. Shope's touchdown runs came from 1, 4 and 51 yards out. He also had runs of 55 and 70 yards.

"I wasn't going to throw for 500 yards or anything, but I was prepared to do whatever needed done,"Shope said of playing quarterback. "Obviously, it worked out better this way."

None of Moniteau's six scoring drives in the first half took more than five plays. Those scoring drives covered 94, 63, 37, 65, 78 and 56 yards. The 37-yard drive was set up by a Brookville fumble, the lone turnover of the game.

The opening kickoff bounced past Moniteau's Mitch Czech and the Raiders tackled him at his 1-yard line. A facemask penalty brought the ball out to the 6.

Five plays later, Dakota Campbell caught a 38-yard touchdown pass and the Warriors were off and running.

"We get a big play right away and they stuck it in our end zone,"Dworek said, shaking his head. "We just couldn't contain them."

Moniteau added scoring drives of 56 and 59 yards in the second half with the mercy clock running. Brookville was held to 14 net yards and two first downs in the second half.

"We have a bend-but-don't-break defense and those guys were outstanding tonight,"Campbell said.

Jacob Boy had four sacks for the Warriors, giving him 22 for the season.

Moniteau will play Karns City (10-1) for the District 9 championship next weekend. The Gremlins defeated Kane 42-14 Friday night.

"All due respect to Karns City ... I can't imagine anybody in our district beating that (Moniteau) team right now,"Dworek said.

Notes:The 55 points scored matched a season-high for Moniteau and was a season-worst for Brookville. ... Armagost surpassed 5,000 career passing yards Friday night. ... Shope has 1,228 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. ... Tony Campbell had 94 yards in receptions, pulling him within 74 of 1,000.
