Amanda McCracken was deployed to assist in Operation Iraqi Freedom on Oct. 21.McCracken, who was deployed as her brigade colonel and command sergeant major's assistant, is a member of the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.A 2006 graduate of Butler High School, she completed her basic training and AIT at Fort Jackson, S.C., in 2006 and has been stationed at Schofield Barracks since August 2007.McCracken is the daughter of Ron McCracken of Butler; and Sandy Babcock, stepdaughter to Bob Babcock, both of West Sunbury; and granddaughter of Virginia Poerschke-Bloom of Portersville and Jean McCracken of Butler.———Air Force Airman C

hristopher Ittner graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.He is the son of Dennis Ochaba of Butler and Lynette Ittner of Freeport and grandson of Dennis Ochaba of Butler.Ittner is a 2007 graduate of Freeport High School.
