What a great idea! Actually, a nationwide teacher pay scale would be better. The scale in this area seems to be triple the pay scale in other areas. And our property taxes show it. Everyone else pays hundreds a month for benefits - I pay $400 month and I work at a very successful private university, and they are complaining about $20. They should be ashamed and wake up. The school board should NOT give in to them. THey are only allowed to miss school for 2 weeks - I think - anyway, so they have to go back, like it or not.

But I fear the Republicans would call it socialist. They call everything socialist.
