I can remember back in the day when lunch money was brought in at the beginning of the week. If you were buying for the week you received five tickets. We handed a ticket to the cafeteria worker prior to picking up our trays. If we didn't bring our money in for the week, we were still given a lunch; however, I had a note to give to my parents. I guess it was just known to give your kid lunch money every Monday.

I guess things were simple back then.
