Bridget and Josh Kniess

Bridget McConnell and Josh Kniess were united in marriage June 7 at the Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock. The Rev. Boyd Smith officiated. A reception followed at the Slippery Rock University multi-purpose room.

The bride is the daughter of Russell and Vonnie McConnell of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are Kenneth and Janet Kniess of Butler.

The honor attendant was Cherie Black of Grove City. Bridesmaids included Ashley Hartman of Slippery Rock, Julie Brunner of Hermitage, Rachel Milligan of Portersville, Sarah Campbell of Butler, Heather Kniess of Butler and Samantha Kniess of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Adam Kniess of Butler. Ushers included Jesse Kniess of Butler, Ed Milligan of Portersville, Terry McDougall of Harrisville, Craig Harry of Harrisville, Matt Tack of Hagerstown, Md., and Curtis McConnell of Slippery Rock.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2006 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works for the Mercer School District in Mercer.

The bridegroom graduated 2001 from Slippery Rock High School and in 2005 from Slippery Rock University. He works for Alternative Flooring in Evans City.

Following a honeymoon trip to Ocean City, Md., the couple is making their home in Slippery Rock.
