Capt. Denny Derringer watched his sister's wedding in Butler from his military base in Iraq on Saturday.

Denny, a civil engineering officer with the Air Force Reserves, was assigned to a six-month tour beginning in June to the Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron at a joint Army/Air Force base in Balad, Iraq.

Because of the deployment, Denny almost missed Danielle Derringer's wedding Saturday.

But Armstrong Cable Internet Services set up an Internet connection to broadcast the ceremony on a special Internet site only Denny could access via a laptop computer and a secret password.

Danielle married Frankie Krouse at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

"Everything went wonderful,"said Mary Ellen Derringer, mother of Danielle and Denny.
